Arab Film Studio Awards

Arab Film Studio Awards

Last week saw the Arab Film Studio 2012 Awards Ceremony take place at a glittering event held at Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi.

The evening comprised a special screening of five finalists' short films, followed by a prize giving where Fatima Al Dhaheri was crowned AFS 2012 winner for her short 'Something Called Fear'.

Image Nation, the company behind the AFS initiative, was thrilled to welcome to the event two prominent members of Abu Dhabi's royal family, His Highness Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Nayhan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.

Assembly Studios was responsible for the creation and design of the AFS brand. Jon Wells, Dina Khorchid and Matt Fairman from Assembly Studios were proud to see the AFS visual identity and brand executed to full effect at the ceremony.

Assembly Studios created a dual language AFS logo animation exclusively for the event, which was showcased during the awards ceremony. In addition, the evening saw the premiere of Image Nation's cavalcade, also created by Assembly Studios.

We are proud to be associated with this creative initiative, which is a key part of the UAE's plans to nurture and develop home grown talent for the country's growing film industry. Image Nation has announced that Arab Film Studio will be returning for 2013 and Assembly Studios recently learned that it has won the contract to create and design the new branding elements required for the second cycle.
