Manchester Airport City
We were commissioned to work on an integrated campaign to assist Manchester Airport Group Developments in its launch of the Airport City scheme.
Along with concept design for an on-site marketing suite, we were responsible for print design, interactive installations, computer generated imagery, a website and pioneering a new style of interactive iPad presentation which has caught the eye of the government and media respectively. Chancellor George Osborne was even spotted at the launch on both national and regional news playing with the interactive tool!
This is an innovative product that combines laser cut Perspex models that clip onto the iPad with centrally deployed media rich content to create a unique interactive experience. It is geared at communicating complex floor plan layouts and masterplans for the property industry. The presentation is designed to be used as both a stand-alone and a face-to-face selling tool.
The presentation holds various animations and the touch of a button highlights different areas of the scheme, showing you exact location, information and lighting the related parts of the model from below. There is also a project overview video which walks you through the masterplan area by area, whilst a voiceover informs you of the exciting and ambitious plans for that particular zone.
All of this content is deployed via the cloud using specifically modified off-the-shelf app software available in the iTunes store. As buildings are let or information is updated, the presentations out in the field can be centrally synched, ensuring every instance of the presentation remains consistent and up-to-the-minute accurate.
